Newtown Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team at a progressive, 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital in Newtown, CT. NVS is a 24-hour Emergency & Specialty Practice and we are the only Level II Certified Veterinary Emergency & Medical Care Center in New England. Our state-of-the-art, 15,000 square-foot facility offers highly trained veterinarians, leading-edge diagnostic equipment, the latest treatment methods, and around-the-clock patient monitoring.

Competitive candidates will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and will have previous specialty and/or emergency experience. Please note these positions are not entry level and candidates must be confident in performing essential clinical skills such as venipuncture, catheterization, radiology, patient assessments, record-keeping and all aspects of anesthesia and surgical monitoring.

Qualified candidates will possess the following: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician or assistant A strong work ethic and good organizational and multi-tasking skills A professional and respectful demeanor Ability to lift 50 pounds Credentialed technicians preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
