SS&C Technologies, Inc. has an opening for a ?hands on? Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst in our Treasury and Securities Solutions (TSS) Division in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. TSS provides web-based solutions that support critical applications for global financial institutions including hedge fund administrators, asset managers and insurance companies. ?The applications support portfolio and bond accounting for a variety of investment types including FX, Equity, OTC and Fixed Income.


Responsibilities



  • Testing new and existing applications

  • Full regression testing

  • Reporting defects and testing fixes

  • Creation of test cases

  • Packaging installation files for delivery to clients

  • Writing installation and user documentation

  • Troubleshooting and replicating issues reported by clients


Required Skills and Experience



  • 5 years minimum quality assurance experience in a software development setting

  • Familiarity with Windows server environment

  • Ability to write complex SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services

  • Familiarity with IIS and website configuration

  • Bachelor?s degree in technical field of study

  • Strong written communication skills


Additional Desired Skills and Experience



  • Experience working with Excel macros and pivot tables

  • Experience testing accounting software

  • Ability to write PowerShell Scripts


 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
