Staff Process Engineer

Basic Function of the Job:
Determines operations to produce products and develops processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met. Troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action. Researches the purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment. Design and run trials to generate data to be used in determining process improvements. Work with production to improve manufacturing processes. When needed, direct manufacturing personnel for timely completion of priority parts. Assume responsibility for defects and non-conformance caused by implemented manufacturing processes.
Job Requirements:
Education:
B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Experience:
4 years minimum experience preferred
Experience with thermal expansion and heat transfer principles
Experience with problem analysis and resolution
Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
Ability to recommend and implement improvements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software)
Special Skills:
Familiar with computer coding languages (Visual Basic, Matlab, Metroscript)
Experience with nano-scale machining operations
Experience with lapping/polishing processes
Intimate familiarity with Windows, including ability to resolve network/permissions and compatibility issues
Read BOMs or drawings and understand the fundamentals of CAD systems.
Knowledge of sub-micron measurement techniques (mechanical gauges, interferometers, analytics)
Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities
Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment
Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
