Position Overview
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Facilities Manager manages and coordinates the administrative and operational staff, systems and activities that ensure optimal functioning and maintenance of all building assets (Plant and Equipment). Manage and oversee the development and implementation of the Company's Safety and Environmental programs to meet all governmental and third party requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Directs the maintenance of all building systems and equipment including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, property maintenance and waste management. Prepares and implements preventative maintenance schedules. Manages and trains a staff of employees in the general maintenance of buildings, grounds infrastructures, and equipment. Drives continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of productivity opportunities. Ensures facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications and work orders are tracked and completed with the budgeted guidelines. May oversee contractors engaged for facility renovations projects. Also oversees the development and implementation of effective Industrial hygiene programs. Develop, implement and audit all local, state and federal safety program that are required in order to reduce or eliminate any occupational injuries, illnesses or deaths. Develop, implement and audit all local, state and federal environmental programs to ensure that the Company is in compliance with the appropriate regulatory agency. Ensure all necessary reports are submitted to the required agency by the reporting deadline.
Skills and Experience
Experience
Minimum of three to five years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field or manufacturing engineering, two of which were holding a leadership position directing a multifunctional team.
Environmental, Health, and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
Business management experience or education is preferred

Bachelors Degree in Engineering General or Business
