The Centre is a national resource that builds Australia's awareness of the dynamics shaping America, their implications for Australia -- and critically -- solutions for the alliance.The USSC's mission is to make discoveries and draw insights with tangible value for Australian policymakers, businesses, scholars, students and the general public, generated by independent, non-partisan, rigorous research, delivered through communication, teaching and outreach.About the opportunityThe United States Studies Centre (USSC) at the University of Sydney is in an exciting growth phase with a new website, updated branding and a growing global audience. This new Marketing and Design Coordinator role will play a central part in driving impact for the USSC through stylish graphic design of publications and collateral, compelling marketing campaigns and effective social media management.As the Marketing and Design Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects. From designing reports that will be read in the White House and other spheres of government to student recruitment campaigns and live tweets from events with visiting dignitaries. This will be a career-defining opportunity to make a difference on a global stage.Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Impact, your key responsibilities will be to support the Centre's publications through:
designing research products (reports, briefs, explainers) in InDesign creating and disseminating attractive, on-brand social media, marketing and publication collateral publishing on and managing social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Meta, Instagram YouTube and the USSC website) planning and implementing marketing campaigns for student recruitment, events and program awareness. About you:
tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Marketing and/or Social Media with relevant working experience strong track record of developing complex and compelling collateral with graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign demonstrated success and experience in marketing and communications using relevant channels to achieve desired objectives publishing and editing experience with articles, reports, briefs or other text-heavy content demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
