We are currently seeking one experienced veterinary professional to join our client service team and work in our busy call center.
Ideal candidates will have 3-4
years of previous veterinary experience, have worked in a veterinary setting, have knowledge of medical terminology and common medical diagnosis, and strong client communication skills.
Candidates without vet med experience will not be considered.
Shift times Monday-Friday are 10am-6pm with one rotating night and weekend shift per month.
This is a full-time 40 hours per week position.
Our hospital is open 365 days a year and all client service representatives are required to work 2 holidays per year.

Position Overview:
The Client Service Call Center Operator will work amongst the front desk team and provide day to day support to team members.
He/she will manage all client calls and direct calls throughout the hospital.
Ideal candidates are expected to possess skills, knowledge, and abilities which include, but are not limited to the following:
Proper use of grammar, spelling, and vocabulary Knowledge of standard veterinary procedures and practices Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively under continuing pressure and possible interruptions Ability to understand and follow instructions Strong computer knowledge and knowledge of office equipment Exudes a positive attitude and is team orientated Tasks:
Answering a multi line phone system Effective message taking and documentation Forwarding calls to the appropriate departments within the hospital Effective phone triage recognizing medical emergencies Other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education, and/or experience.
1-2 years client service or reception experience preferred 3-4 years of veterinary experience is preferred, but not required Excellent phone, computer, and client service skills a must Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation and/or extended periods of time standing and/or walking.
Some moderately physically demanding work, involving lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
Schedule:
Shifts vary including nights, holidays, and weekends.
