93 per hour, exclusive Super About the opportunity The United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney is an independent, university-based research centre, dedicated to the rigorous analysis of American foreign policy, economic security, emerging technology, politics, and culture.
The Centre is a national resource, that builds Australia's awareness of the dynamics shaping America - and critically - their implications for Australia.
We are now searching for an Internal Auditor to join this high performing team.
The Internal Auditor is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the Centre's operations and assessing the effectiveness and adequacy of all internal controls of management.
Other duties and responsibilities may include:
carrying out financial, operational, and compliance audit duties such as evaluating internal controls, applying professional audit techniques, preparing audit work papers, developing solutions, and documenting findings providing relevant information under review such as findings and recommendations to the Centre's management and Audit and Risk Committee assisting with identifying improvement opportunities and risk factors from analysing the Centre's operational functions special project as required ad-hoc activities commensurate with the positions as required.
About you previous experience as an Auditor within a large complex organisation currently studying an accounting degree, law degree, or post-grad previous experience with legal compliance risks is highly desirable excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrating strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills ability to work collaboratively with all business units, stakeholders and customer representatives with firm deadlines proven ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative strong attention to detail and accuracy highly self-motivated with an ability to build strong relationships through diplomacy and trust.
