Playcare Attendant
NYA Sports & Fitness NYA Sports & Fitness Newtown, CT Newtown, CT Part-time Part-time $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour NYA Sports & Fitness is looking for Play Care Attendants (Baby Sitting).
Previous experience is required and must successfully pass a background check to be eligible.
This is an opportunity to help facilitate a safe and fun environment for kids while their parents are using the fitness center.
This includes elements of traditional childcare/ babysitting but may also include initiating and supervising games and activities on our indoor turf field.
Part-time:
3 hour shifts and 2 days per week minimum.
Additional shifts and opportunities may be available in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a friendly atmosphere for members and children - Provide a safe and engaging environment for children -Proper check in and check out with parents -Clean and sanitize the Play care space and equipment -Communicate effectively with parents and children -Provide consistent interaction with children, initiate games, art projects, or activities -Assist in projects assigned by supervisor - Follow all policies and procedures in employee handbook
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children -Must be able to function in an active environment -Strong safety skills - Strong communication and customer service skills -Candidates must be friendly and have a professional demeanor - Must be able to stand, bend, and or squat often - Candidates must enjoy working with children - Have an Active CPR certification or willing to obtain one.
